Carbon Spring Wire

Carbon spring wire is a high-carbon material (0.6%–1.0% carbon) used mainly for making springs and wire forms. Its high carbon content gives it excellent strength, hardness, and fatigue resistance, making it ideal for applications requiring repeated stress without deformation.

This wire is used in springs for automotive parts, industrial machinery, mattresses, and upholstery. Springs made from it can return to their original shape after compression or stretching, providing strength and flexibility.

The manufacturing process involves drawing the wire to the desired size, heat treatment for hardness and toughness, and sometimes coating with materials like zinc or phosphate to improve corrosion resistance and durability in harsh environments.
