Hardened and Tempered

Hardened spring steel, known for its exceptional strength and elasticity, is heat-treated to withstand high stress and return to its original shape after deformation.

Hardened and Tempered

Hardened and tempered steel strip is a strong, durable material made through heat treatment. First, the steel is heated and quickly cooled (quenching), then reheated at a lower temperature and cooled again (tempering). This process increases hardness, strength, and flexibility, making the steel resistant to wear and tear.

It is used in making cutting tools, saw blades, springs, and automotive parts. Its toughness allows it to handle high stress without losing shape or function. The steel also stays slightly flexible, preventing cracks. This balance of hardness and flexibility makes it ideal for precision and high-stress applications.

Grades Tempering steels: C22E - C60E, 25CrMo4 - 50CrMo4 Boron-alloyed steels: 27MnCrB5-2 and similar Spring steels: C55S - C100S, 75Cr1 - 95Cr1, 51CrV4 - 80CrV2, 68CrNiMo33, 75Ni8, 102Cr6
